Welcome to cancer plasticity & tumor immunology lab

Our laboratory boasts extensive experience in cancer biology, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to head and neck cancer research. We seamlessly blend fundamental cancer research with valuable clinical insights gained from our involvement in head and neck cancer treatments, making substantial contributions to the understanding of head and neck cancer biology and effectively addressing pivotal clinical inquiries related to this condition. Commencing in 2007, our series of studies delving into head and neck cancer progression has resulted in the publication of over 150 papers to date. Our research has found its way into esteemed publications, with 10 papers gracing the pages of renowned journals like Nature Cell Biology (in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2019), Cancer Cell (2014), Cell Reports (2016), Nature Communications (2018, 2018), and Cell Reports Medicine (2023). Several of our papers have earned well over 200 citations, showcasing the significant impact of our research in the field. Particularly noteworthy is a 2008 study published in Nature Cell Biology, cited over 1500 times, as well as a 2010 study cited over 600 times and a 2014 study cited over 250 times. These citation counts underscore the pivotal role our studies play in cancer biology, offering essential perspectives for both fundamental cancer research and clinical oncology. Through the fusion of innovative explorations into molecular mechanisms and rigorous clinical validation, we have made substantial strides in advancing the understanding and treatment of head and neck cancer.
